Objective
To design a character that fits in MSM’s catalog.
Process
When looking at the characters in My singing monsters, I felt that a creature inspired by Cerberus would fit well into their catalog. I decided he would create sounds by stomping to the beat and then singing with all three heads, their harmonies reverberating through the microphones to create a powerful sound. I then designed the monster in Clip studio paint, going through a few illustrated variations before settling on a playful vibe, something akin to a dog. Cerberbeat will be silly, boisterous, and have a big heart; getting along well with his fellow monster friends and always adding plenty of silly harmonies to the song.
